Do not use Glen Hughes (WebDeveloper2010) for your programming work

I had a paypal automatic payments job I needed doing for today and I paid the guy $31 upfront. He told me that he lived in chelmsford (essex, uk) and was very pleasant and previously worked at a company called Yellow Duck, an established web design firm. I have since called Yellow Duck and they have no record of someone working for them full time called Glen or even as a Freelancer.

The frustrating thing is that he seemed professional enough over MSN and I've given him the work and deposit and i've lost days over this and I need it running now latest by the 24th and now I have nothing, and my clients are about to jump on me regarding this!

Over MSN on Monday he contacted me with an update and it all sounded positive but the last 2 days i've heard nothing. Today was deadline day and no response at all from his phone or emails.

I was stupid to pay him as a GIFT, so now I cannot claim this back His username on here is: WebDeveloper2010.

Because of the lie he told about the web design firm he apprantly worked for, I cannot help think I have been scammed.

I also see that he has been posting up on these forums so he is active http://elitesniperserver.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=650&PID=9317 and here also: http://www.peopleperhour.com/freelancers/provider/Programmer/56788 , plus his posted up about 8 jobs on DP also.

If he can prove that the work has been done and also prove that he worked for Yellow Duck then all is well and good, but him avoiding me only rings alarm bells.

I hope you moderators can take this seriously.
