Do not understand clickbank

I still can't decipher how clickbank works. I've read all the cool things you can promote and all that, but have not found anything descriptive that tells you or shows you how this is done. I get my hoplinks then what?

Lets say for example I want to promote weight loss stuff, I would go to the marketplace, find something for weight loss, get my hoplink, then what would I do with it? To me it seems like I would have to build a huge directory site integrated with hoplinks (to these other peoples sites) and earn commission that way, but I can't imagine that being the case! Any help is appreciated!

you have to put the link in your site and when someone click on it and buy then you have the commission. What I did is I bought a script http://www.theinternetshoppingmalls.com at http://www.rpqm.com and it automatically put all products in my site. I don't need to copy and paste links. Best of all the programmer install if to my server for free.

    Regards,

You can promote your links in several ways: forum signatures, email signatures, article marketing, create a blog or site and promote it using SEO, etc..

You can get a clickbank mall for free and promote any products of your choice easily.

    All the Best

So basically it's nothing but a referral program then? Trying to sell these on my own website by referring visitors to these other places?

Ok so what if I want to sell something without having to refer them, such as filerecoveryfolder.com? It goes straight to clickbank without having to mess with the goofy looking sites?

to do that you can use PPC straight to the vendors page.

just use your hop link as the destination URL..

but its a much better idea to use a landing page to capture emails... If you are new to PPC, AND you want to promote weight loss.. you will lose a lot of money fast if you try to go straight to the vendors page.

the easiest thing to do is pick any product from marketplace and use a page/link cloner like "covertlinks"...make a site in a few minutes and start PPC traffic to it.

    Easy as pie, really..

try it and you will see.. your ad will probably appear on the 20th page and to get any higher you will be paying a fortune.. (more then 40c a click is a fortune to me)

I dont promote weight loss.. too much for me to handle

Your first impression is way off. Go the other direction. Instead of a huge directory make a niche website. You don't need to sell every clickbank product at once! Just pick a niche and pick some (or even one) clickbank product that fits into that niche and go from there. For example you could choose some weight loss products (fat loss 4 idiots is a popular one) and make a blog or a website about weight loss with plenty of sales pitches for the product you are trying to sell thrown in. You could also do a "review" site. Those have done well for me.

You can get much better conversions by having people go to your "landing page" before going straight to the product page. Of course you can also never enter the world of SEO if you don't have your own website/landing pages.

Personally I think SEO is the way towards long term big profits. Sure you can make a lot of money with PPC but the competition is fierce and you can also lose a lot of money. I don't like that part. With SEO your work builds upon itself. With PPC you are always in the same place really (except for what you learn of course.)
