I did this once and had 20,000 views in an hour but no sales. Totally untargeted traffic tho, maybe if you have a general product...

 

I used something like that to get people clicking links to shocking sites from my hopepage when I was like.. 12 years old.. =P

We come here to this forum to read threads.. and you do that by clicking on them..

You aren't going to prove that this method works here or not..

Test it in a real life marketing test and then you will see if it works or not.

You can just count the number of views this thread has to know who clicked through.

Currently its 31.

I saw what it was before opening it because my screen shows the first few lines of anything I scroll the mouse over.

I just wanted to comment because even though you might get a lot of clicks using this title, you won't get many conversions cuz people would just leave quickly when they see the message.

Maybe you could sell an ebook on marketing...

I am using this same technic in some forum sigs It works better like an ordinary link, but it brings untargeted traffic.
