Yeh same here. When I got my computer with vista I tried using it, but it got annoying FF is better imo, and some of the add-ons are really spectacular..
It didn't take long for this to become a "trash Microsoft" thread. And it's not like they don't deserve it.
Bill Gates doesn't single handedly develop the products, the company has directors, managers, software developers which control certain aspects of company. Complaining about BETA is like complaining about a car which doesn't work when it isn't fixed yet, it's common sense if you ask me. But then again, I can see what you mean in a sense.
i guess u didn't read my post properly, when did i ever complain about the coding part? do u think i knw nothin abt html? i hav been using opera since even before u were born. plz do not assume & send out a wrong message. what i meant was it immediately "SHIFTS" to new tab when we initiate a link to be opened in new tab by right clicking on the link & choosing "open in new tab" option from the menu. where as IE stays in the existing page while still loading the new link in a new tab in the background without bothering us. probably i look at functioning of programs to the minutest of details which is sometimes beyond the understanding of the average user. to make it simple > open opera > goto any website > navigate to any link on the website & "RIGHT" click > then choose "open in new tab" option from the menu > finally record the result now do the same in IE. what do u c?. similarly if u r opening several links (say 8 to 10) while carrying out some research u get deviated frm the original window that many times which is really annoying.
Thanks for the advice, but I'll try it once it's a final release and decide for myself. I will definitely install it as most of my visitors use IE. If I like it I'll use it too
You know what - it's always been firefox here, although lately it's kinda crashing a lot more often that usual. But will stick to it.
LOL. it`s pretty fun to read lots of different comments about MS, Internet Explorer and Firefox. My personal opinion, I upgraded to IE8 for testing purposes, yes it has some bugs and most of the time it crashes without reason. But it`s beta and thats pretty normal. I don`t blame anyone about it. Let`s talk about firefox, the browser sucks pretty much. thats fun to see there is too many people keep saying blind eyed as firefox rules bla bla. Isn`t Firefox the most secure browser, every one claims it is. Firefox sucks about loading webpages, it tries for 5 secs to load than gives up and says webpage takes too much time to load. wtf!! i can open it pretty easy with iexplore. I remember that Firefox started to release too often about patches because of security holes? Is it trust worthy to patch a browser every month, which claims they are most secure. Please don`t start about we are already patching internet explorer every day bla bla, iexplore never claimed that they are most secure web browser like firefox. and yes thats pretty normal if there is more people using it means there is more bugs and more patches. About opera, it has pretty cool features and i also use opera, but it also has some parts sucks too. For example opera has too many problems about java script handling, most of the times sites using javascript, screws because opera cant handle javascript. And lets talk about exploits, worms and bla bla. Whos computer exploited because of using internet explorer because it contains holes? Everyone complains about you will exploited if you use Internet Explorer. I bet most of the people even doesn`t know what is exploit. So please stop talking about exploit bull**it. Lets talk about worms and viruses, yes thats actually true that internet explorer`s activex cause most of the security holes. But you can disable activex and surf at the internet. And i think surfing at internet, it doesn`t matter if you use Iexplore or Firefox is not safe without antivirus. There are free antiviruses you can use, because of your mistakes you can`t blame someone else. I didn`t use antivirus and i got infected with a virus its MS `s fault. No thats bull*hit it`s your fault ! The company you blame also create Windows XP and Vista and Plus Windows Live Messenger ! If you hate from that company too much, don`t use WLM, or XP or Vista. Switch to Linux and use ICQ And i bet there are hundreds of people gets infected with WLM virus, but i can`t see any blaming topics about WLM. Why don`t you switch to AIM or ICQ because you get infected with a virus while you use WLM? Just double think and stop being blind eyed !
IE8's main target is to support all of CSS 2.1 properties. But I was hoping it would support atleast some of the common CSS3 properties like rounded-corners & :target.
Firefox would be one of the best i would say but what most people dont realise is that Opera is the only 100% CSS standards complaint browser out there, all others should lead by example.
Considering I've been using Opera since it was first released, that would be something. Sometimes when you use the "I've been using X since before you were born" type statement, consider that someone who actually knows the product can call you out. I read your post a few times, both this one and the original one. So right-clicking a link in Opera and choosing "Open in a new Tab" will open a tab and be the active tab according to you. IE opens the new tab while remaining at the current tab. If you really knew about Opera, you would have known that right under the "Open in new tab" option is the "Open in background tab" option which lets you stay in the current tab while the other one loads in a new tab. Let's look at a screenshot eh... Your statement that would only be true for someone who did not know the "open in background tab" option. Obviously,Opera even goes as far to allow you to open the link in a new instance of Opera with the "Open in background window" option.
