I agree, FF is the only way to go. Everything Microsoft creates gets it's "quality control" from the users. Seems to me they try to save money by releasing some piece of shit and having users test their software for bugs, etc.. for free instead of paying employees to do it. ;)

I just got convinced that nothing works like Firefox! IE8 has the Emulate IE7 button for nothing ..they probably want to activate this feature with the next update, as for now when I click it, the crap is still on it's place, no improvments at all.

When I saw the actual file size of IE7 (48mb!) I was not impressed. I was also not impressed with how much fuggin bloat code they stick in that program and how slow it loads. When will MS ever figure it out that people just want to store a few bookmarks, tab browse, and maybe use a few SEO plug ins? Doesn't take a 48MB browser to do that!

    Firefox has it figured out.

I can't believe that 80% of the world is using IE for anything.

IE8 even screwed the smileys table when composing PM's, so much for passing Acid Test. I ran it for 20 minutes, shut it down and went back to Firefox.

    I guess i will give IE9 a try for 20 minutes also.

You do know that IE8 passes the Acid2 test, and therefore is rendering everything as it should be?

It may have passed Acid Tests but still it can't render CSS hovers or borders around text box when hovered. I don't think "beta" is adequate reasons for it. Moreover, positioning elements with CSS is still not that smooth.

It just pisses me off when every time I release a Wordpress Theme
it has to be Cross Browser compatible.. so what now?
We have issues over Firefox vs IE7 .. and another pain in the A*** with IE8

As a web developer I have one great suggestion: DON'T use Internet Explorer at all. It doesn't only contain a bunch of bugs and security wholes but using Internet Explorer will display most websites how they should look, this doesn't happen for large websites though as they have the money and time to tweak their whole website for compatibility with IE.

O really. Im sure there arent that many round here :p

No offence to you guys using IE 6 (Although i still have it installed but use FF) but you cant even view transparent png's properly... I dont want to spam my site but say go to peoplesarcade.com (yes its my site, not a hotlink so dont whine) In IE7 + Firefox + Probably other browsers the top heading and the right task bar are transparent aka same as background. In ie6 it becomes this horrible grey color. Im just too lazy to change it all tbh.

Yep, this is one of the most annoying parts of IE <= 6, as a web developer you can fix this issue though, just google for "IE pngfix". With a bit of JavaScript this can be fixed, but as IE: not perfect.
