DO NOT buy anything from StatsJunky

Discussion in 'Shopping' started by Lkimmel, Nov 16, 2009.

I bought the StatsJunky software which is used for PPC tracking last month and after having it for about 3 weeks I realized that it was not worth the $400 dollars I spent on it. I thought, not a problem because StatsJunky has a 30 day money back guarantee.

So I sent SJ support a ticket asking for my money back, just as they tell you to do on the site. After 2 more attempts at trying to get a hold of the SJ team I realized that they weren't going to reply. I then went on to the SJ forum and posted a thread about the issues I was having and found that a few other people were having similar problems!

All of this made me pretty mad, but when I went back to the forum today and realized that they had deleted my thread that pointed out the defaults of their service I was livid!

So my main point: nobody buy StatsJunky because they have a mediocre product and terrible support. Try Prosper/Tracking 202

If you bought with credit card or PayPal you better get on the charge back right away. Keep copies of what you sent them, emails, posts, etc... Take screen shots of forum posts since they are deleting them. This will help your case.

Keep us updated and let everyone know if StatsJunky is a scam, fraud, has problems, etc... DP has enough power to make sure that people can find out about StatsJunky if they are scamming people with junk software.

thanks for informing. $400 is really very expensive. I wonder why they never have a trial version to let people test it before buying.

StatsJunky is definitely a terrible product that people should avoid at all costs. The program itself barely works anymore, and their support is absolutely the worst I've ever seen. As the OP said, they don't honor refunds, and oh yeah, they don't pay their affiliates either. Even if their long awaited brand new version ever comes out, stay far far away. You'll just get a big headache dealing with them.

    Hey guys, a quick update:

I got my money back a while ago. Not that it was in a timely manner or anything. They still had slow responses and pitched me the "upcoming" product. They need to charge less, and monthly (i think they're doing $97 a month for the new stuff), that way they could keep people happy while having monthly income to support the product. Either way, the software has way too many problems way too often (google syndication went down one time and didn't come back for over a week....yes, google, the most important resource for anyone using ppc).

Anyway, I got my money back and won't be going back :)

I agree, people making money don't care if their product or service does not work, and by the time that we want to find them for a refund, they just hightail it, with our money.

man these scams are all over the web it's pretty scary.

I've been scammed a few times too back in the early days and you feel powerless, like there's nothing you can do...

Hope you can get to the bottom of this.

I'm very sorry to hear about your troubles. But, assuming you used a cc you should have some recourse. I hope you can get your money back. Scammers!
