Do non follow links have any effect on rankings? or are they a pointless exercise.

 

No they are not pointless! I have gotten sites ranked very well by using no-follow backlinks and I outline that in my free seo guide at rankbooster (dot) net

Anyhow, Google wants your backlink structure to be "natural" and the most natural thing is to have a good mix of do-follow and no-follow. If you only have do-follow backlinks it starts to look very suspicious.

 

Nofollow link is still helping on SERP, they just dont pass the PR juice

 

Nofollow ones are still counted by search engine, but less than dofollow. That's why you cant build link juice with nofollow ones

Though Nofollow link not passes PR juice But it can't neglected because it will help to increase your sites visitors count.

 

They don't pass the juice but can generate traffic.

 

Exactly, No follow links will do no good in terms of Page rank but yes they seems to be very much helpful for getting ranked for that particular keywords. Further have a ratio of do follow and no follow as a back links will make your entire link building campaign look natural.

No-follow are not pointless. They pass link juice

 

if you only build links having Do follow attribute then you will be in a great problem. cause Google will consider it as automated. so of course your site should have some no follow and also some do follow links. both are important.

rel="nofollow" links do not pass as much weight for rankings as a dofollow backlink. But, they can still be useful for anchor text and keyword associations, this does help your site grow and increase rankings. Also, try to get relevant authority links of any type.

 

I still use NoFollow links up to this time and they a help. They're not useless although DoFollow links are more advantageous on Google.

 

They are no good in increasing your Google ranking, but its still a link out there on the internet pointing to you if that is of any value to you. Personally I don't design my efforts on these backlinks.

 

No follow links is useless when it comes to the topic of link juice, BUT it does help in the search engine results page (SERP) department.

 

They are correct, it's a good practice to have a mix of dofollow and nofollow links. This keeps things balance and natural.
