I mean if I try to link exchange many of other pages start linking my site with nofollow attribute. It sucks?!
First, before you do a link exchange make sure they will give you a followed link. Second, if the link sends real traffic (like ones from Wikipedia) it shouldn't matter that it is a nofollow link because it is bringing you visitors.
I think the main difference between nofollow and dofollow links is the "link juice". Nofollow links wont give you any link juice but do follow will. Which is what you need to boost your SERP rank. Although a nofollow link that is actually bringing in traffic is ok too
If you're being picky, then it's worthless. Still ANY link can bring some visitors and I'd rather have no-follow links too, than not have them at all. You never know when you get a member or a client for your services, even if the no-follow link didn't do you any 'seo good'. As long as it can bring in some traffic, why not?
Yea they are same power but the just don't pass PR but only noobs care for PR And also mixing no follow with do follow makes it look more natural and doesn't raise red flags ...
Yes it does, like facebook. It is a nofollow site but google gives importance to it that makes it very SEO-helpful.
What utter rubbish. Nofollow = link has no SEO value unless maybe if it's a massively recognised website, but may get you visitors. Dofollow = link has SEO value and may contribute to your Google PageRank and rankings.. And will also maybe get you visitors. Dofollow or nofollow is a hidden attribute.. No visitor will choose whether or not to click based on the link relationship being nofollow or dofollow. o.0
Both no follow and do follow links can bring you traffic. Do follow links have more weight as far as SEO is concerned because link juice is passed on to your website. This doesn't mean no follow links have no bearing on your SEO. Do follow links just have more bearing.
Search engines don't crawl "No Follow" Links. They only index "Do follow links". "No follow" Links can't get you back links but no doubt, they can bring you good traffic if they are placed in quality content.
Well,no follow links count but doesn't affect in the PR of the site, they just generate the traffic to the site.
Do not exchange links, try to get one way links these are much better, we use articlebase.com (article directory) this is nofollow but the articles are then posted on other web sites that are do follow also articlebase articles show up in google!
The main purpose of SEO is to bring visitors to your site and if the visitors come from Nofollow links I don't see much harm in that aprt from the fact that the Nofollow links will have no effect in increasing your PR.
