Hello, Here is a question I have for other webmasters. There is ALOT of manual actions being implemented throughout the past day or two. Now, we know that "No Follow" links are what Google tells you to do when getting links, so they don't PASS PAGERANK. Now, my question is, if you get "No Follow" links, will those types of links still help to increase SERPS even though they don't pass page PAGE RANK.
It's unlikely that a site will have all backlinks DO FOLLOW. They will be mixed, follow and no follow. So, you can say that having no follow links to your site will help you somehow, making it look more natural.
Well with all the latest things going around in Google, guest blogging is now dead, unless there are no follow links made.
No follow may not pass on PR but a link from a domain with a lot of DA is still very helpful. I have been mostly commenting on blogs with higher DA and with moderation when possible. I usually look at what the other comments look like and make sure my comments are way better. I got a link form Stanford University that way. Another tactic is to reply to a specific comment. In my opinion moderators are less likely to get rid of a discussion between 2 readers than they are if you just say the same thing as somebody else about the post. I really only comment on posts themselves if I have a contrary view or if it adds missing information or something like that. If it won't add anything than I don't, go through the blog and find another post to comment on. Be sure to bookmark all the sites that you comment on. You can go back to them in a week, sometimes less, depending on how frequently they publish. Blog owners like repeat visitors and being useful gives them a reason to not get rid of your comments. I've even been contacted by a blog owner who also contacted the person who's comment I commented on. Are opinions were complimentary to one anothers and that is great for her blog. Anyway, don't worry about PR. I care far more about DA.
Well my major thing is, all these manual actions that Google started taking yesterday on Guest Blog Post and tings of that nature, all because they were not listed as "No Follow".
I think any mention of your website in another website is helpful. It would be strange if a website got hundreds of do-follow links but no no-follow.
Well, what I am suggesting, is Google just implemented a HUGE Guest Blog Banning spree.....So, it seems a bunch of sites are getitng Manual Actions because there are links on blogs that are showing upa s Do Follow...So curious if doing Gust Blog Post as "No Follow" links would still be able to increaes SERPS and Rankings.
I am not totally sure if it's safe to still do guest blogging no matter the links are nofollow.. It's still a link and it points to YOUR website...
Anything is evolving and we need to continually study, adapt, change. This guest blogging issue needs to be studied more and next days will be interesting. Anyway, links, whatever NoFollow and DoFollow, are good. The idea is to have a natural fan base supporting your website and your brand. a DoFollow only "base" is impossibile, and would be considered "strange".
With any link that you obtain from a referring website, NoFollow or not, these act as a gateway into your site that introduce your content to a larger audience that you wouldn't have had before.
Right - NF links are good for traffic, that's all. To think they have any bearing on rank is barking up the wrong tree.
Nofollow links do not have any influence on SEO. Nofollow links don't pass pagerank. But it is still very important for SEO. If you are running a new site and you have all the links dofollowed, it might flag your site as spam. Because it looks unnatural. There should always be a good balance between your dofollow and nofollow links. Within 100 backlinks, you should tagert at least 10% of links to be nofollowed. This will make it look natural. So if you are building links to your site, building nofollow links should be a very important part of your linking strategies. By the way, nowadays the world of SEO has changed. It is more important to create high quality contents than creating high quality backlinks. SEO Tricks don't work now. You should never forget the actual definition of backlinks. Backlinks are basically recommendations from other sites. So you can't build it. You have to earn it. I would suggest you to be more focused on content marketing than on building backlinks. Natural backlinks will automatically come. The time you are spending to look for high quality backlinks should be spend on creating high quality contents. If you are serious about your online business, do what I said. You will never fail. Believe me .... I am in this field more than 5 years. So I know what works and what doesn't. Some of your SEO tricks might work now. But eventually it won't work.
No-follow links do not pass link juice but it still helps you rank in the SERPs and I recently got the proof in my own blog. Till now, I have just commented on other blogs that had no-follow links but they were the authority. I did not guest posting, nothing else. But within one month, I am indexed and ranking in the SERPs of Google. So, I think it does help as I can see the results myself with my own blog.
