    Happened to me too, lol.

I built alot of backlinks to a brand new site/domain. Got #1 for a term for 2 days, then disappeared (not banned though, I can still see my domain when I search it up on Google.)

Glad to see I'm not the only one to know how much this sucks.

God knows how long it'll take me to get back up there again.

Wow, only one person here has actually given the real reason for this temporary boost.

    "The news effect"

It's there to help breaking news get to the top of the results.

Here's an example, before the 9/11 incident if you'd searched for "twin towers terrosism" you would have gotten some random results with websites that contained those words, here and there.

But after the 9/11 incident a lot of people would have wanted the latest news on it and might have typed "twin towers terrorism". At this point any articles about it would have been so new that they wouldn't have had time to gather any links... so by normal rules all the relevant news would be at the bottom of the pile. This would really frustrate news searcher's trying to find out more.

So to help make search results better and have breaking news appear at the top more often. Google gives all new websites a temporary boost, if the site then goes on to generate very few links Google concludes the site is not in fact a news breaker and moves it back down.

My site still like it was one month ago....

There may be a temporary boost, but lets see where it is next week.

Question, you say a new site, but do you mean a new domain name or completely new web pages in an old domain?
