This may be a stupid question but I noticed a lot of forums have a high PR but it turns to N/A by the time you get to the threads. Does N/A mean that google doesn't know about it or does it just mean that you don't get PR from it? Basically I'm wondering if there's any point in having links in my signature if the PR is N/A. Thanks,
I'm not sure I've ever seen "NA" before at a forum. Normally that means "Not Available" or "Not Applicable". So, perhaps its just your browser saying that it can no longer find that content.
A lot of the time it just means that the page doesn't have pr YET. In time it might get PR. Those links still have the potential to help, but they likely won't help much. They can still drive traffic and help rankings on other search engines.
O right! that's makes sense... if the thread is newer then December, or whenever the PR was updated last then it will just show N/A. A part of the problem was my browser displaying it wrong. On digitalpoint/forum/marketing my browser said it was N/A but I checked it with an actual PR checker and I guess it's PR5! Awesome! Forums are such an easy way to build PR! Plus, you can learn things and help people at the same time. That just made my day. Then again, I could just be really happy right now because I'm eating ice cream and I'm really tired.? Thanks for the info.
PR N/A can be a lot a meaning. 1. The page is still new and don't gain any page rank yet. 2. The PR server is busy at the moment and you can't see any PR for any sites. Even DP main page will show PR N/A. 3. Still finding a reason. Let me know if you know it.
