Do multiple links from same domain improve PR?

I own a site with dozens of backlinks from one particular social bookmarking site, and dozens more from a PR4 blog. Do the SE's give credit for multiple links from same source, or would 1 link be just as effective? Thanks!

Google discounts multiple links from the same blog or regular website (such as sitewide links) for purposes of PR. How many they count is unknown, but I suspect more than 2 or 3 has little, if any effect. The more natural looking the link, the better. Normally, a site isn't going to put an unbiased link in the footer of every page of a site, etc.

Why does it matter if they give credit for pagrank?

Do you mean do they give credit for ranking factors?

    - Thanks, Mjewel, that answers the question.

    - Jenny1985, I just wondered if my "top contributor" status on a certain blog was worth the effort... my textlink shows up on all of their pages but apparently it is only contributing one (or a couple) links to my site. Guess it's not worth working for TC status other than the fact that it's a great blog and I like to participate.
