Mind does, but that is because I don't have time to set up sites for organic traffic. I think a mix would be the best plan.
I have had a few from PPC, but I always perfer FREE SEO traffic. If you can optimize your site or blogs then why not. This way you are making more mone!
Actually, a good strategy is to use PPC as a "test". If PPC converts well, and you can calculate the ROI, it is worth going after the SEO. IMO, if you are serious about making a living through affiliate you should consider sizing up the total market size of your vertical, the reputation and the track record of the advertisers, your ROI and the competence of the top dogs in your vertical. It's a complicated mix, but makin' money is never easy. Especially "big money".
Most of my traffic and commission come from My blogs and SEO. Take the traffic from whenever you can.
Fast results with PPC, especially if you've got a lot to spend, but I agree with Jdog about a mix being the best longterm strategy.
