I'm not sure if I should use the meta tags (meta keywords and meta description) on my landing page or not? Do they improve the quality score?
I don't know if they directly figure into the QS at all but think of it like this. If meta tags help the spiders crawling your site for content, you would imagine it is helping the page itself becoming recognized as a source of relevant content by Google. When using your keywords to get people to that page, Google is going to look again to see if the site it noteworthy (with respect to keyword and advert driving the traffic). While I doubt it directly affects QS, I can't see how it would hurt to put them on your page. Just a theory...
i always use them, just in case there is some crawler who still wants them. There was a thread recently where someone claimed that Yahoo actually still looks at the METAs. So..it for sure wont hurt to have them.
Just include them anyway - the two seconds it takes is not gonna hurt and having them wont harm you in any way. Cheers Stewart
Do you use metatags on just the index.html page or on all of them? If the spider is crawling it may be worth it on all? Also, is it just worth using the metatags of your best performing keywords or could this give your competition too much of a heads up on what you're using?
Meta tags don't increase your landing page quality score.I am sure about it after testing more than 50 landing pages.
