Hello, Subject says it all really. In my multiple site account I have 1 or 2 sites with pretty low CTR historically. does this affect eCPM of other sites?
Hi Glenn, I don't think having low CTR sites should affect any of your other sites. As far as I know, AdSense stats are derived exclusively on a per-site basis, and are independent of any stats from your other sites. HTH, Sam
I believe WebFreedom is correct, though you may want to look into it more. I'm not sure how it could hurt it though.
If you're talking about Smart Pricing, my understanding is that smart pricing is levied on an account-wide basis, not a per-site basis. So if you have one site that is preforming in an appalling manner, it will drag down the other sites. I don't think you can talk just about CTR alone without tying it in to the other metrics -- a site can have a very low CTR but convert really well (which smart pricing likes), while others with a high CTR may hardly convert at all (which smart pricing loathes)
Thanks all. I have heard over and over about smart pricing. Google should provide more info to publishers on this as it's in BOTH our best interests, right?
