I have an english language site. Is it worth trading links, ect with sites in another language. When my link is the only english on the page, can Google figure out if the link is relavent?
hi, try this tool : http://www.geoseo.com it depends on the search. I have just made a test with that site http://www.weboriental.com for keywords "moroccan restaurant london" on google.fr I'm in fifth position. on other DCs I'm Ranked between position 16 up to 31 I have made an other test (same site) keywords "moroccan restaurant" In that last case the result is impressive : on google.fr I'm in position 25. on other DCs I'm Ranked between position 144 up to 686 precision my page is in English So why such a difference ? Because my site is located in France and not linked with sites from other countries. In case of very little niche maybe the difference will be slight, but in a large domain of search the interest of BLs from targetted countries seems obvious. In fact maybe for you it isn't really useful because you're an english site in an english speaking country. In fact, it's a problem when you want to communicate with countries (of course in their language) which are not located where your site is. In that case you absolutly need links.
Probably for traffic I should say YES. But in SERP I think there is no difference even if its on English language or not.
Certainly. The interest is not to exchange links in another languages but to exhange in the same languages between sites located in another countries
