Do links in Yahoo Answers count toward Google backlinks?

    I was in my webmaster tools, and reviewing what Google was reporting to me as the incoming links to my site. I saw one was from Yahoo answers, and I saw the page and verified the link. Then I looked at source code, and it showed that Yahoo and a no-follow on the link.

    Anyone have any input if Google likes those Yahoo answer links?

    i want to know one thing. whether one can use google webmaster tools after index of a site or can use before index of a site.

    Yahoo answers is a no follow link, and so page rank wise you won't gain any benefit, however that doesn't mean that you won't get any traffic from the link itself

    You will only get traffic from that link, google will not consider it in its search results as it is a nofollow link

    you can use the tools account to submit your sitemap and also check site errors, you will get information from the tools account after google has indexed your site and has information to provide you

    Well google wont consider it as its nofollow but yahoo and bing would consider it as a backlinks as they index nofollow links as well.

    You'll get traffic, but because of the nofollow won't do much for your rank.

    its also a sign of domain authority if you are been referred to in Yahoo Answers, Wikipedia etc
