Sprouter People dont like add if too many adds its make problem.

3 add unit and 3 link is good but its totally depend on your web site content and add placement.

Also dont use google default add template. use custom color and match color with your web site.

Generally speaking the fewer ad units you have, the more higher paying ads will be displayed.

In theory, yes. In practice, it depends on what ads get clicked. Here's why...

Google usually shows the highest-paying ads first and lowest-paying ads last. Therefore, your biggest concern should be maximizing clicks in the first ad unit. If removing one ad unit helps to get more clicks to the first ad unit, good. But, more often than not, moving the first ad unit to a more prominent place would result in more revenue, without reducing the total number of ad units.

Exactly, I already do with max 6 ads (3 banner, 3 link) which cpm before $1.5 ++ before, and then use 2 ads (both banner ads), and my CPM always good, $14 ~ for cpm, my site not getting much click even got decent traffic, but from it cpm, it maintain getting above $1 daily.

There is a theoretical max and minimum for this, too much and the site looks spammy, too little and you probably wont get any clicks, I would trial and error it over a 6 month period to find the accurate results for you.

I think in general it is best to put fewer ad units on a page, and not just because of earnings per click.

Ads tend to clutter a page and make a negative impression on people viewing your site. If an ad unit is not paying out much money, remove it. You need to weigh the benefits of the income from the ad, to the downside of having more ads on your site.

Removing an ad that is not earning almost always improves your site. There are few exceptions to this rule. If you have space that is not utilized, there are so many things you could put in it besides an ad. So, you may lose a small amount of earnings from removing an ad unit, in the short-term, but in the long-term you may get a slightly lower bounce rate, a higher percentage of people sharing or linking to your site, etc. and this will boost your earnings more. Think in the long-term!

    Good luck!
