I am just curious if .info domains rank at all for any kind of competitive terms or are they best kept for non search traffic uses? I know GoDaddy has them for 99 cents, but if they can't rank for search terms, are they worth putting in the effort to develop?
Matt Cutts has made it clear many time - Google doesnt give any importance to tlds. It doesnt matter if you have a .info or .com. There are many .info names that do very well.
99CENTS!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! You go crazy and buy 100 .info domains and then next year the price is $9.99 that becomes $1000 in their pocket. LOL!
I know that Google done a test recently by penalising .info as they were used as massive spam sites following the godaddy $0.99 offer. I have a .info website which ranks first spot for its keywords.. It even outranks auth websites like .edu websites so if you have good contents and established website.. There is no problem with using a .info
they still work if you work hard to bring in results but I found .com's & .nets get better rankings when you don't do much promotion
I have .infos that rank. Also if you search "spain" in Google you will see spain.info ranking in the top two results.
