Hi, I am from India. Recently I got a cheque from linkshare worth 45$. The problem is cheque is in dollars. I have a bank account in Bank of India. Can I submit the cheque directly to my bank. Or do I need to submit any document along with the cheque. ( as proof of my earnings). Linkshare have not sent any document alongwith cheque. Also will the bank deduct any money as transaction fees? Because the cheque is only of 45$, so it will leave me with few bucks only. How much time will it take to get cleared. It is of some international bank in US. Looking forward to get answers to my queries. I guess many others may also be facing these doubts. Thanks, Coolguy..!!
Go to your bank and submit the cheque with NRI Cheque Form ( you can get this on your bank on request ) jsut deposit it and it wil take may be mroe then 25 days also
It takes come time to see the money in your account but you will get it and yes come banks do charge a little more for these kind of cheques.
Can you tell me more about this NRI form. As i am not NRI, why should I fill this form. Also any info on amount of money deducted as transaction fees. Thanks
As bordello, just deposit the cheque in your bank and it will take around 20-30 days to clear, around 150 INR will be charged.
hey i also got cheque from linkshare and CJ i directly deposited them but this is 34th day and i cannot see the money the cheque was from 'Wells Fargo' bank. i will keep you updated and you keep me
Most of the checks come from Wells Fargo only. it will take some time. can be long upto 2 months also sometimes.
i'm not live in india but there is some places like Afex that can cash your check with low fee and faster than the banks
It will probably take longer for you get the money to be accessible and there may or may not be a conversion fee, but there should be no problem at all to simply deposit into your account.
I`m not sure whether evry bank accepts foreign currency cheques. you need to deposit cheque where these services are available for faster cash out.
Indian banks accept foreign currency cheqe, but problem only with the amount and the time to clear. Last time I had deposited cheque amount $600.00 on a Indian bank, they deducted Rs. 2500 as service charge. I always prefer paypal and more over they provides best option for withdrawing.
Paypal is the best option but some affiliate network do not make payments via paypal. Cheque is the only option.
