Hello all im thinking about opening up a site similar to freeipod.com. Im wondering if these sites make decent profit and if they are pretty easy to manage?

    Thanks!

They do make a decent profit and they are considerably easy to run, that's why there's a ton of these sites around and marketing would be one of your bigger challenges. Try to run it on a really low profit margin until you have established your site's brand - this way you will attract or "steal" visitors from the other "referral sites" because you offer the same rewards but its just easier to get them from you.. Another tip, to mark your self as "paying" amongst the industry's forums and communities you should offer a really easy to get reward such as "$2 to your PayPal" and again, only for the initial stages of your site because this obviously takes away from the "easy to manage" aspect (Get rid of it after the positive posts about you are established and you show everyone your not here to scam them).. Good luck!

    Yes they do.
Actually, this kind of site is hard to manage and it take a lot of effort to recruit member to join your site.
When you in beginning stage, the profit will be relatively low.
Once your site get famous,i'm sure earning $2k/month is not a big problem.
