Do I want a High Bounce rate?

I've got landing pages for CB products that I am promoting. So a user clicks on my Ad in Google, goes to my landing page, and then can click on the hop-links that transfer them to the sales page of the product I am promoting. Of course, the sales page is not mine, is is the vendors.

So, I really only have 1 page on my sites, the landing page. So would Google consider it a "bounce" if a user clicks on the hop-link on my landing page, since they can't possibly view any other pages on my website?

I don't really understand your logic.
If you only have one page, and all the links on it lead to external sites, then there is no bounce rate to calculate.

Well, I am getting a bounce rate of 85% on 1 of my sites. I don't understand it right now, so any guess is as good as mine.

If your case a high bounce rate is only good if the average time spent on the page is long enough for someone to comprehend what is on the page and click through.

Its bad to have high bounce rate, but the time spent on the site is also equally important. The more valuable the content, the more better

It means people are entering directly where they need to be entering, and are spending time with the content.

If it's just an informational site, that could be a good thing if there's only an average of 2 minutes worth of reading. If there's an average of 15 minutes worth of reading it's not so good though.

The next thing you would want to look at is how many people are doing what you want them to do after luring them there with the content.

A high bounce rate with little to no time spent on your site would be bad...this would indicate vistors come and leave without checking much of anything.

High bounce rates mean that people are really interested in your webpage and leave :( one sad, unhappy camper!

High bounce rate = I visit your site, don't like it, leave after 2 seconds...

Low bounce rate = I visit your site, its really cool and i leave after 10 minutes...

The name "Bounce Rate" explains it itself. Its the amount of your users bouncing. If they come and leave, they bounced...

So the lower your bounce rate will be, the better it is...
