Do i really need to enter a new Code on every bloody line?

According to my webmaster he need to edit every singel line on the links in the middle of the page to get them bigger or change font. A SC will change the whole page i guess?
Using frontpage or any other program will make the task faster? Just click Bold and return.
But my webmaster is stuck in clean text programs and it going to take 4 ever.
Is there any other way to change the links in one go?

    Three options:
    • Use CSS for the formating
    • Regular expression search and replace
    • Get a new webmaster
Though by the sounds of it you should do one of those optionas anyway

Finding a new webmaster in Thailand is not easy. Most people call them self here is webmaster with dreamw and photoshop when you ask about php they look at you. I think its better i educate the once i have by ask them to read the answers i get from this forum :) thanks forum :)

What do you mean by Regular expression search and replace?

    For the CSS

Do you need to put class='name_of_class' in every line or do you change all?

Do you need to put to put class='name_of_class' in every file in the website?

no offense but your webmaster sounds like he REALLY sucks. you could do it with 1 line in CSS, 3 at most.

In your position I'd ask the webmaster to do a search and replace (using regular expressions if needed) of all links that need to be changed and replace all HTML formating with a class="something", then use CSS for the style. That way your link style will be defined in one place and be really easy to modify next time you change your mind :)

I don't think his webmaster sucks you know, he is just a starter who wants to reach the set goals by himself but he doesn't know how.

    Did you read that

He want to do everything on his own, he is just not educated enough

by the way, why does your top links open each page in a new window?

    Free Fax
    Receive Fax
    Exchange Links

Should it be so? They are still on your site, aren't they?

You have PHP errors on all of the pages that link to "Pages : 1 - 2 - 3"

    Good Luck

SVZ do you not change the whole page then?

Ok thanks dct i will ask him to do that :)

Yes in Thailand good webmasters is hard to find and the problem if you educate them to much they just change jobb.
My friend runs the Ambassdor hotel in Thailand his the Chef he has around
    - 40 People every month from his normal 200. Thai people have a problem staying in one work place so if you ever find a good webmaster you better hold him :) Even if he has his bad days its better with one webmaster in the office then 0 right :)

Yes you are right, you should hold him tight, but as you said they change jobs. Why don't you try to contact with some company. Thus you won't have to wonder about the webmaster and whether he is educated or not, you could create website via internet.

Like I live in Armenia (hope you know where that is) but I do jobs for France, Germany and USA. I don't know the people I work with, but the experience showed that they pay for the job and I have their work done.

How I do it, its just I have a team of talented people who like to create sites. They do the job, they get payed. I am a part of the team also. Even if somebody leaves the team, there are other people who can hold on.

ou see how you can work out the problem connected with the webmaster. Have a company working for you

I know where Armenia is off course. We have loads of people in Sweden from there. I used people from scriptlance distance working and it always 2 steps forward 3 steps back. Sometimes you hit the gold webmaster and you try to keep them but even they get more jobs and then you left with the one installing child porn and virus on you server :(

Just take a look at the source of the pages of your website using the option "View source". If you see something like

    <A class="..." href="...">
    Code (markup):
then the problem can be solved modifying a style in the style sheet (the file with the .css extension). If, on the contrary, you see something like:

    <A href="...">
    Code (markup):
then each link should be wrapped with a FONT tag specifying the size you want for the link.
This could be made loading all pages in a text editor and doing a global search and replace.

It just amazes me that people do the job if they dont even know the basics.

Anybody doing this for a job should have good HTML/XHTML and CSS skills aswell as some programming skills, if not then they should not be doing the job. It really annoys me when I hear stories like this.
