I'm new to adsense. And i have a site with 50 pages. my question is. do i need to generate a separate "adsense code" for every page?.. I notice that each adsense code that i generate have a different "google_ad_slot" value. Is this the thing that google uses to monitor if you have exceeded the 3 ads per page limit? <script type="text/javascript"><!-- google_ad_client = "pub-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX"; //728x15, created 11/7/07 google_ad_slot = "7888978470"; google_ad_width = 728; google_ad_height = 15; //--></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js"> </script>
No, you do not need to generate separate AdSense code for each page. You can re-use the same code as long as your publisher ID remains the same. If my understanding is correct, the "google_ad_slot" parameter simply tells advertisers more information about where on your site they can place their ads. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
No!! Unless you wanna change colors, layout, format, etc You can also create channels to track certain sites / pages! .
When I looked at this thread title from the main page I guessed that the person who started it would have 1 post on this forum. DING DING DING! I can't believe I guessed right. <-- Not trying to be an ass though, lol.
If you want to track each page, you can assign a different channel to every page you have, but rest of the code remains the same.
