Hello all, I am new to this. I made a site and I want to know what pages I need to deindex, i.e. privacy page, contact page. Also, how about my category which contains a list of products only with no content at all, do I need to deindex those pages? I was afraid if I don't prevent google from indexing them, these pages might affect my rank somehow. Thanks for the reply!!
you can deindex privacy page, terms and conditions page, login or signup page, forgot password page. You can index your category page (i think so)..,
Why? you DON't need to deindex them. You might want to use no-follow when linking those pages from other pages of you site so no PR/link juice will be leaked to those pages since those pages probably do not contain any info by which you would prefer people would find your site, but there is no harm in having them indexed
De indexing is not a good idea but adding a little content can be great. De indexing will harm your website as it will not receive link juice form products pages. It will be a good idea to add a little bit content for each product pages.
