Do I need to submit my url to all google sites? If I submit to google.co.in will I need to submit to google.com to get listed in google.com?
Google seems to give contradictory signals about whether you should or should not manually submit your site to them. Here are two quotes from Google’s official site, each contradicting what Google says in the other quote: 1) “Inclusion in Google's search results is free and easy; you don't even need to submit your site to Google. Google is a fully automated search engine that uses software known as "spiders" to crawl the web on a regular basis and find sites to add to our index. In fact, the vast majority of sites listed in our results aren't manually submitted for inclusion, but found and added automatically when our spiders crawl the web.†That’s from http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=34397&ctx=sibling. Now here's the contradicting comment: 2) “We add and update new sites to our index each time we crawl the web, and we invite you to submit your URL here.... Please enter your full URL, including the http:// prefix. For example: http://www.google.com/." That from http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl Kind of a case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing! EDIT: P.S. I never submit my site or its pages to Google. Get good links to the site and the spiders will find it quickly.
