Yes, if you are out of the country but servicing the USA get a local number. Skype.com has some business numbers you can use.

I hope your spoken English is not the same as your written one, otherwise talking with your clients on the phone will do more harm than good to your business. No offense intended.

    I totally disagree.
Most of my vendors hardly speak English, I personally have a strong accent how ever we all do just fine.
is not how good you speak the language is how well you take care of your clients. No offense intended.

You're talking about vendors. They don't care what you speak or how you speak it as long as you're buying their stuff. Clients who are buying a service are not going to be so accommodating. If they have trouble understanding you over the phone then you can potentially lose them as a client.

There are lot of DID providers there. You can search for any local numbers and get a cheap SIP to configure this DID numbers. May be make a look at www.didww.com

Meanwhile, if you go for tpad.com, you can get a six digit account number and if you check their world-wide break in numbers, you clients has to dial the local numbers and after the tone they have to dial your 6 digit number and you will get the call very easily either in computer (totally free) or you can configure it in a SIP device (totally free) or you can redirect to your landline / mobile almost anywhere in the world which is much cheaper too.

    Check at their website.

First of all I dont know why few of the English guys are always advice like this to a non-english men.

If you English people want to do business with an overseas buyers, do you people try to learn their language? Not at all!!

I know a lot of Americans who don't know spellings for a lot of English words. No offences meant!

Here hez not running a language tuition or a translation service, I hope.

I know a lot of Japanese/Thai/Chinese/Indians who not even know a single Enlgish word, but doing business with British / Americans very easily.

Meanwhile, I know a lot of Americans / British people who don't want to learn an additional language and thought English is the ONLY language in the world.

If he is dealing Business to Business, then it won't matter much, as even within the the borders of the same country, i.e. UK, US, etc, there are major dialectical differences. If he is dealing Business to Consumer, it MIGHT make a difference, although probably not a measurable difference.
