Do I Need A Second Yahoo API Key For Second Site

I have a Wordpress blog hosted with HostGator. When I installed the XML Sitemap, I had to get a Yahoo API key to put into the XML Sitemap settings in order for the plugin to notify Yahoo when I updated my blog.

I finally figured out how to obtain the API key and everything's working properly. I'm getting ready to start another blog on my same HostGator account but, of course, under a different domain. Do I need to have a second API key for that blog or can I just use the same one? If I need a second key, how do I go about getting another one?

I have multiple ID's for different websites under one email account with Yahoo... but it is a good question.
Have you tried using the same one again see if it takes it?

 

I have the same question, yesterday I realised Yahoo has API too, lol, so - I set up the same key for two sites, will see what will happen, but would love to hear someone who know's more about this.

Walle, how did you get more keys on the same email? I only know Google API can be used for more sites .

Yes, that's how I got one key, but you said you have more keys on one account. Do the same process again?

 

What is use of that API Key? Where to place?

 

I'm using one and the same API key for pinging so many sitemaps and so far haven't run into any problem.
