Do i need a full time seo employee?

I need seo done for a site that's still new. It's a niche listings/ecommerce site.

And i need to make a hiring decision for this - whether there's a need for a full time employee dedicated to seo or is part time or a contract sufficient?

Here's some info and assumptions :

1)The site's dynamic - so perhaps all ON PAGE SEO - keyword research, page title, meta tags <hx> etc. could be built in programatically and is perhaps ONE TIME EFFORT.

2)Most(perhaps not all) ON PAGE SEO is taken care at the start or initially so doesn't need much time devotion later.

3)Most ON PAGE SEO for a DYNAMIC site is a programmer's job(as probably a seo employee doesn't understand programming) with some assistance from a seo employee for KEYWORD RESEARCH etc. So once built into the software, it DOESN'T NEED much effort on part of the seo employee in the later stages.

4)OFF PAGE SEO IS really where the seo employee would really spend most of his/her time - like build some links, write articles/blogs, directory submissions etc.

So considering that there's just 1 site and that most effort for the seo employee is concenterated on OFF PAGE SEO, do i really need to hire someone Full Time?

You're most welcome to add your own views and perspectives to this. It might help someone else as well in the future in their hiring decision.

It depends on the amount of keywords you want to rank for, and how profitable your site will be when it ranks on google. But since you have only one site, in my opinion you could hire a part time SEO VA at the moment and see from there. If you think there's more work to do, then you can get the VA to go fulltime. And from time to time you can give additional sites for the VA to build links. I won't go for a contract since we shouldn't stop building backlinks once we get our site to rank.
I've just hire a fulltime SEO VA 2 weeks ago for $75 per week. In the first week, they offer 2 days trial so I only paid $45 for the first week. So far so good since my sites are still alive, for 2 weeks I only gave the VA two of my sites with 5 keywords each site to rank for and planning to add 2 more sites for my VA to manage.
Having a VA is really a good investment. Less work for us and we can possibly expand/scale-up what ever we do to make money online.
Feel free to PM me if you need help searching for a VA.

I think J3 is right. You should hire a part-time SEO for only one site and check that the white hat techniques should be done no black hat technique for the site.

well i would suggest you to go for the full time SEO professional or company as they are skilled and will give you the best value for your money, but don't forget to have a little interview before hiring anyone

Yes, so do it @ the time you chose your web template. After SEOing that thing your problem was done. Yeah!, it is one time problem.

Actually there is really not much to worry about on page, jif you are content marketer, try using programs that support SEO plugins (wordpress???)
    Then problem solved.

Why do you have to worry about this thing? Your content might be dynamic, but SEO must be Static on each and every page/content of your site! Or else you will be having inconsistent SEO progress report. And also, there is something called SEO Sandbox.

Yes, just outsource it. One at a time. More practical.

The only benefit I can see at hiring a regular SEO-er is that you have something to call at anytime. But most of the job you think what must be done, is only knew by you, ayt?

Going for a full time seo contractor is better so you won't have to worry about doing the work half way.

it depends if you feel like doing it or not. in the end you will need SEO support, either from you, or a professional. you could take the paid-easy way, as in hiring someone to do it for you. or you could do the research, learn, and do yourself, save some money, and pick up a new trade.

up to you! best of luck in the future with this project my good man.

I would do a part-time job first and see how that goes and move he/she to full time if needed. Usually you get better results from full time dedicated people in my opinion but see how it goes.

it all depends on the competition, if you need to build many backlinks to rank well, a full time employee might be a reasonable choice...the seo should at least pay for itself and leave you with something extra, preferrably

Yes, If you hire full time SEO, you will do all the things what you required for your website. And It will be better to hire full time SEO for long time to maintain your website ranking in seach engines. Hire only expert SEO person to avoide any unethical technique.

You can outsource your SEO work instead of being full time SEO.
