do i need a business License for a dating website , - i m a US Citizen but i dont live there right now but planning to move back soon - all the members of my site are outside the US -i receive payments using Plimus (CC processor ) monthly revenue around 2000- 4000 .......................................................................... thank you
You most definitely do not need a license - thank God we live in a relatively free world, and most industries/niches/markets do not require you to get a license (the more monopolized ones or those that affect people's lives like health/education/oil/electronic appliances do need one, though). Now, it might be wise to register a company to get limited liability just in case something does go wrong - an LLC is cheap nowadays, and Nevada, Delaware and Florida have the least taxes and best conditions for online businesses...
I have to answer, YES and No. No, you do not need a license or a permit to do so. That's the good thing working or doing business online or through the internet. Yes, you need to have a license for protection purposes. If you are doing business through the internet, license or permit is an option for you in order for you to have protection against infringement. When the site is profiting, you cannot avoid that some may spam you or possibly steal your site or imitate the same.
