Do I let these names drop?

I think it is true of most people who buy and sell domain names, there will be a turkey or two in the inventory. Two of my problematic domain names are below:

latheguy.com . . . . had a client with a plan when I purchased this one. His plan was not to pay for this domain name.

godisfree.com . . . . living proof that methane can circulate in the human brain before leaving the body via the rectum.

What do you think, should I let them drop?

Currently I tend to take the turkeys and put articles on and earn the renewal in advertising, you never can tell what domains will turn out to be keepers.

I don't think there is a single domain I've let expire that I don't occasionally regret!

yeah i agree. a lot of the religious nuts would love this one. you should turn it into some type atheism based website and piss them all off. good way to get some traffic :) as well as hate mail, lol. but yeah, it's a good domain. i don't think that i would let that one drop.

    Hi randerraghav and ansi

I think I will renew godisfree.com and then attempt to sell it on the Buy, Sell and Trade board of this forum. When I searched for that domain name one thing became crystal clear, there are precious few religious themed domain names available that are not miles long.

I'm a member there as well and have not had as much luck as here but admittedly I'm still relatively new here.

If you stare at almost any domain long enough, you can come up with a situation where it Might be useful in a certain niche, to a certain buyer.
If you have to think that hard about it,....and it only appeals to a very small, possible target niche, then drop it..you can get those anywhere.

If you had to choose between these 2 domain, and could only pick one, and had to drop the other, which would you let drop?
    BOOKPRICES.ORG, or PAPERBACKBOOKPRICES.ORG ?

Keep the ones that have the best possible chance of resell and hold the highest level of marketability to the most amount of consumers and businesses, let the others drop.
With the exception of heavy traffic, true niche ,REAL words, and pop culture and seasonal names. But they have to be real words and phrases. Don't hold on to Chistmasmerry.com, when the most common phrase is Merrychristmas.com
    IT's a pipe dream.

    Hi anions

Unfortunately I wasn't paying close enough attention to my domain name renewals and godisfree.com was auto-renewed on the 4th of July. (I gotta stop doing that) . . . subsequently I have listed this domain name in a DP auction: HERE just a few minutes ago. I don't want the $10 I just spent on renewal to be a total loss but I will never use this name.
