No, if you live and work in the UK and pay English tax's you do not, the form is only for us citizens paying us tax
not to CJ or to the US if you are a British taxpayer. only to the inland revenue if you feel that way inclined!!!
Am at Singapore. I have applied CJ and would like to earn money from it. Do I need to submit the form too ? Regards, Stephen
Submitting the Correct Tax Forms Commission Junction requires all publishers fill out appropriate tax forms. The following forms are required. For US Residents: W9 Form: Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification. For residents of the countries listed below: The W8 Form does not apply. VAT-registered publishers that select these countries must provide their valid Value Added Tax (VAT) number in order to comply with EU tax regulations and ensure proper payment of VAT in the countries where Commission Junction operates (currently France, Germany and the UK). Note: Publishers that are not VAT-registered are not required to provide a VAT number. Austria Belgium Cyprus Czech Republic Denmark Estonia Finland France (under the French umbrella) Germany Greece Hungary Ireland Italy Latvia Liechtenstein Lithuania Luxembourg (under the German umbrella) Malta Netherlands Norway (under the UK umbrella) Poland Portugal Slovakia Slovenia Spain Sweden Switzerland United Kingdom For non-US Residents: W8 Form: Certificate of Foreign Status of Beneficial Owner for United States Tax Withholding. These publishers receive a pop-up message reminding them to submit a W8 Form to Commission Junction. The W8 Form certifies that as a non-US resident, your earnings are not subject to US tax. Without this form, Commission Junction may be required to withhold 30% of a publisher's payments. The New Publisher Sign-up Email that all publishers receive includes the W8 Form as an attachment. Publishers from the United States receive this same email with the W9 Form attached. Publishers must sign these forms, and send them to Commission Junction either by mail or by fax. Commission Junction cannot legally advise regarding filling out these forms; however, we can provide the relevant links to the US Government Internal Revenue Service's official Web site, which includes copies of the forms and instructions for completing these forms.
soo by the sounds of that IMO. If you live in the US you need to fill in the W9 form If you live in one of the countries listed you do not need to fill any form in If you live outside the US and NOT in any of the countries that are listed you need to fill in the W8 form. Hope that helps!
