In order to sell digitally products (scripts, graphics, membership/subscriptions) from my website legally, do I have to register as a business? Or just say I'm self employed? I live in the UK if that changes anything :/ Thanks
I actually don't know the answer (probably best asking a lawyer or the like) but my opinion is if you want to do things 100% legally then register as a business, only like £30 a year or something I think. Also probably depends if you live under Scots Law or England & Wales, I could be wrong
for uk theres an amount that is untaxed, i think first £4k or so anymore than that then you should find info for paying tax
I participated in another thread like this one with a person from UK sometime in the last 12 months. I seem to recall some type of registeration was required but I'm not positive of that. I did not know the correct answer but it came out in the course of the thread. If you don't get the answer in this thread maybe you can find it that way.
Actually you no need to register as a biz coz it not worth it and the tax will be very low and causes its unpractical to filled for tax. However if your turnover is around $20/annul then you should consider register as biz especially at uk
yep u need to setup a business, i would advice to get a Ltd business "£80 setup" then £15 filing fee a year.
Hi In the UK you have 2 main options 1. Set up as self employed 2. Set up a limited company My preference is to set up a limited company mainly because if you set up as a self employed business, then you are personally liable for your business dealings I have answered someone else on setting up a limited company in the UK for abot £30 to £40 here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1083349 I hope that helps K
