I read somewhere onlince that Google started to charge (CPC) to have your items listed in product search. Is that right? and where can I find more info? Thanks!

I don't think that this is possible. If it is, Google products will be sort by highest bidders. and the whole purpose will be lost.

I believe there are still sponsored listings. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

The best place for you to get the exact answer to this
is to ask on the official Google forum.

I posed on Google forums, however I didn't get a clear answer. See replies below:
"clear as mud. i have been informed by EKM powershops that there will be a charge to use google shopping but there is no mention anywhere on google of the cost or even the fact you now have to pay. We need to know about this!!!!"
