Hello all, I am pretty new to affiliate marketing. I am just wondering, Do i have to make a website to promote products? Or i can just redirect the traffic directly to my hop link. My idea is that if i promoted a product via articles the reader will read the whole article. Then if I redirect him to my website to read again then goes to my hop link, he might get bored of reading all this which may decrease conversions. So what i am asking is : Is it essential to have a website,blog,..etc to start with or i can just use my hoplink? Thanks in advance Adel
If you use Ezine then you have to use you own site because they dont allow, redirects or direct linking to affiliate sites. Make a blog, use a good template, fill it with content then drive traffic to it
It doesn't have to be a blogger blog. You could use a Squidoo lens or Hubpage as a lander, but as the guys above me previously stated, you must captivate your visitor. I'd recommend starting out on Squidoo or Hubpages if only for the opportunity to piggy back in the SERPS.
That's exactly what i am talking about, Won't it be too boring for the visitor to read all this then redirect him to the vendors page where he will need to read again? won't it be better if I redirected the traffic directly from my article to my hub link? Or All article directories don't allow that? or is it just ezine?
I think GoArticles will allow direct linking. But trust me, you want to get a lander. Reason being you can build backlinks to your lander constantly with every article you write. Then you're getting more bang for your buck as your articles are giving your landing page more juice in the search engines.
You can get a .info domain for $1 from godaddy. Just redirect the .info domain to the hoplink. Put the .info domain as a link in your article. I think you only have to do this with ezine though.
You can redirect to your link or make a site/landing page. Like mentioned above you can't direct link with Ezine's. To answer your question about less click thru with an article to a site. No it's not going to result in less clicks or sales, it actually should result in more sales. How?.......your job as a marketer is to show people why they should consider purchasing a product and showing them the benefits of what the product are. Your site should have all of those things on it and the article gives them a little info about the product or service. Your site will be what talks them into getting it. Also articles is more for sending traffic and backlinks to your site. Trust me you will make more sales with a site or a good lander. I barely made any sales back when I use to direct link from a article. Yes, it will take some time and SEO to get your site listed on front page of serps in a competitive niche but have patience your site will get on their with hard and efficient work. Don't forget to also utilize "long tailed keywords" that have less traffic but will be easier to get ranked quicker. Good places to make a fast landing page or site is wordpress.com, blogger, weebly, hubpages and squidoo. good luck!
You can as long as you use a top level domain - I do it all the time (when testing a new product). If you want to see any kind of decent conversion rate though you should use a landing page with a good presell though.
Nah you don't have to have a website!!!! I am also an afflitate I have my own sites now but when I first started out I just blogged and used Squidoo and posted on Youtube.
