They are going to begin after 4 years and i dont think this will worth 40$ of reg fee which you are going to spend for 4 years, as it is of no use before that.

I would suggest you to park it and try to get some traffic to it and get some backlinks by that you will atleast get some $ which will make this domain for free and by backlinks you will get good PR in 4 years for SURE then you may get good amount for this domain.

olympics is one of most heavily defended trademarks around. not only cant you spell Olympic, but you're trying to sell them. expect the lawyers on you soon.

Wasted Money i believe, cause everybody these days are well aware with the copyright acts.
Better sell them now to get atleast Reg Fee.

just delete them, they are crap anyways. you wont gain anything selling and you stand a lot of potential loss.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear, here we go again!

The names are worth diddly squat all mate, not even a penny.

If anyone tells you these are good domains, they very clearly do not have the faintest idea of what they are talking about.

Not only are they typos but they are also typos of one of the most heavily defended trademarks globally and the Olympic Committee come down like a ton of bricks on anyone generally speaking, registering these domains.

This is a classic case of cybersquatting, which is illegal anyway.

How many more times does it have to be reiterated over and over and over and over again on these domain forums that it is a huge no no to go and register any trademark name?!

I've written on this very subject as have many other experienced domainers until they are blue in the face.

The search facility here at DP is your friend, use it and type in there 'trademark domains', that should throw up lots of possibilities for you to research the subject properly.

Or get yourself acquianted with Phil Craig of DomainsIntoDollars Youtube video where he discusses as a domain lawyer the issue of registering or buying trademark domains that are not yours to own.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGyJx_9iSO4&fmt=18

This will explain the situation in depth and in very clear detail from a domainer who himself is a lawyer and knows the law well in this respect.

Tricky situation, just be careful of the law. LOL ;)

I reccommend, building backlinks to them or making an information website about the 2012 Olympics, maybe then you might earn some thing through the Adsense or advertising.

    Thoughts?

Maybe so, i believe that an information website on the 2012 Olympics would be a good one to have and may attract some good adsense revenue, or something similar.

It shall require a fair bit of work and research on the 2012 Olympics, but if you enough information and update it weekly or daily or so, then it should get some good rankings within the search engines. A

Also look for related websites which may link to yours to help get backlinks and improve your PR within the few years until the Olympic's come.

Don't even think of registering anything with "Olympics" in it. I had one domain several years ago that was parked, and got a cease & desist from the Olympics committee, so I just dropped the domain.

    Please read my post above.

These domains are trademarked and there are extremely hefty penalties for violating a domain registered trademark, even if the name is a typo.

I'm amazed that some of you guys still continue to give out the most extraordinary bad advice that could cost the present owner of this domain, if he uses it, a very substantial amount of money.

Other people that have been sued in the past for this kind of cybersquatting have had fines levelled at them in the low hundreds of thousands of dollars which is enough to finish some people off for life and making them lose absolutely everything that they own.

There are more than enough good names out there without registering or running the gauntlet of risk one takes when registering a trademarked domain.

Ask yourself: Is it really worth a few piddling cents from Adsense revenue to set yourself up for a possible HUGE fine if the registered trademark owner comes after you, demanding that you pay them, considerable compensation?

If this poster goes ahead and develops this domain no matter what, against this good advice I and others are offering, well, I feel no pity for him in the slightest if he gets sued.

And for the other guys here encouraging this cybersquatting activity, quite frankly, not to put too fine a point on it, you are collectively talking out of your backsides.

Get clued up on the subject before offering such absurd and absolutely ridiculous advice to others!

The beauty of not having the risk yourself and being basically anonymous... it's a pretty bad combo for getting advice. idiots still give plenty of suggestions without knowing anything about the subject.

    Idiots?

We are not idiots, just mislead.

Insults like this should enquire a ban, but the staff here are more bothered about silly small and petty issues and infractions on members to really care about the abuse that some members suffer by being Insulted.

You can not even have "London' and "2012" in the same name and its violating their TM and they will come after you. I know it sounds extreme but its true.

Its really not worth the trouble having Olympic names

    Good luck though
