Hello, I have produced 2 very succesful Clickbank products, that have been the very first in their niches, and have been followed by many wanna-be rip-offs. Recently I registered 2 domains for a new product which i would create. One was a .net and .org. Soon after doing so, someone registered the .org version of the domain and directed it to a clickbank site which their referal link even though the product has nothing at all to do with the domain name. So, isnt this a bit suss? How would they know that I registered that name? Are they getting updates on activity from my domain service account? Is that possible? It just seems so weird, given that the domain name is pretty original.
Get all domain names related to your products registered in your country, thus your can protect your copyrights. Otherwise others will steal your money.
I wonder if tanaka even bothered to read your post In answer to your question... http://www.domaintools.com/registrant-alert/ Though I doubt it came from there. There are domainers that watch newly parked domains. As many people park their names whilst building their websites the domainer is hoping that they might have the perfect .net or .org branded domain name before a trademark is issued.... I strongly suspect someone has seen one of your new domains parked and registered the .org hoping that you are some big boy and your website will be massive... thus making the .org very valuable.
Probably they're watching your name when registering domain names so use proxy services to hide your name when registering domains.
If he suspects that it is a CB product he may have got the .org so he can be an affiliate of yours, but while your product is still not live he is just linking it elsewheres
