My daily average Page CTR is 3.5 (250-300 Page impressions and 8 - 15 clicks). Is that a good performance or I have to optimize my ads more than that. What is the average Page CTR you guys get?
My average is about .2. Those stats are pretty nice. The clicks are high for your impressions though.
oh really. it's nice to know that, but how do they count these impressions, for each page or for each ad unit? Actually, what does it mean that we have 250 Page impressions?? 250 pages viewed or their ad units viewed 250 times
Page impressions I believe. It would be ridiculous to have 3 imps every time a page was viewed with 3 units on it. A page impression is exactly what it looks like: a page that was viewed with one to three ad units or link units on it.
Comparing CTR between sites is useless without knowing what sort of site you have, what market you are in, and how optimized your ads are. 0.1% may be great for a forum so your site could be kicking a**. Alternatively it's not unusual to see CTR>10% for content sites in which case your CTR sucks a**. More information and you'll likely get a reasonable answer.
Cool, now you just need to wait for someone with a site similar to yours to see your post and you'll get some idea of what is good/bad.
Maybe you should be paying more attention to increasing your traffic before you start worrying about if you're making enough or if your CTR is high enough. 200-300 IMPRESSIONS/day is really, well, it's not going to make you a lot of money with anything you decide to sell/advertise. IMO you're concentrating on the wrong thing.
Yeah, exactly that's what I am doing, but I was wondering whether I am getting reasonable earning from the traffic I got or not. but it seems I am.
