Do humans actually click on sig links?

You need quite a few posts and a good laid out signature to get traffic from them, plus you have to put your signature in the right topics, which shouldn't be to hard as you will have an interest in the same topics as your site anyway.

Personally I only have a signature to get some traffic and not for backlinks.

 

I agree with this. Starting a thread with real useful info can bring traffic, people wants to know if you have more tips to share on your website.

Also, when you mention something free in your sig (free downloadable ebook, scripts...), people may visit your website just to see if it's valuable. Asking a question may also be a good way to drive traffic (Do you need "your niche product" ?)

 

I click the sigs if they are of interest or they are relating to the forum subject im reading.

 

All about the topic. I go on different forums, the one's off-topic I get very few clicks, forums on topic do very well for me. I really just placed mine here as a backlink.

 

I always click on sigs. I only do it if it is something that I think may interest me or what I am looking for.

I click on them if they seem like something I would be interested in.

Some forums do not allow you to sell your sig space, but either way if its something neat than I want to see what its about regardless if its paid or not.

The same goes for any ad. If I'm at a website that often has ads I'd be interested in, I look at them when I'm looking for something new or interesting.

 

to answer your original question: yes, I click others' signature sometimes.

it is not about the clicker, or the signature owner.It is all about the link.If i like the anchor, i like colors or i interested the post(i want to visit poster site) i click it.And if love it i bookmark it.Sometimes if i like a dude, i visit the site, give rep also click the google ads.)

I think signature links are easy, costfree and effective way to get traffic. I have lots of projects of some website owners to add their signature links and post. In Forums, we can learn and earn everytime. Thats why DP is THE BEST forum around where I learned and earned.

I guess people click on signatures as long as it appeals to them....

 

I occasionally click on the sig links, although I assume people are including them mainly for the backlinks.

 

I click on a lot of signature links from here. My sig also gets clicked on quite a bit.

I guess alot of people here are different to me then. I don't worry about backlinks. What's the point in having lots of links to your site if you get one visitor a month or even a year from that link. I just go for the traffic and then the backlinks follow.

 

Yes.. thats why they are for.. you would always click a link to know more about the person who has written the post.
