I just started a videos site before 1 week. i collected lots of videos from youtube, metacafe, etc., and posted in my site...... all videos are movie trailers, tv shows, animation shows, music videos, etc., i started building links and google too indexed nearly 200 pages of my site.... but i did not get even a single visitors.. i am thinking that the main reason for 0 traffic is because of popular videos sites like youtube, metacafe, dailymotion, which catching the top ranks..... do google send traffic to my site ?
Google will send you traffic as soon as your site is showed high in the results. Your problem is SEO, you need to optimize your page to get higher rankings.
Set up a google webmaster account Verify your the website owner Submit your sitemap Check some stats and see what your highest traffic key words are Id also recommend using Google Analytics
what a great laught I had man. Looks like you and SEo are not a match buddy. Apart from that, people pretty much go to youtube to get the trailers they don't search for it that much in comparison.
Did you read that? Becuase his problem is not getting indexed, he already is indexed. And that (google webmaster stuff) my friend will not do for SEO.

In order to get traffic, you need to provide some unique content. All videos are taken from other sites, so Google will prefer to index the sites from where these videos are taken from. You can add some unique and useful content with each video. This may help in getting some traffic.
It could be that the reason for little traffic is because your content is not original. You need to create original content as well as building links to your site otherwise Google will just view your site as a spam website and it is unlikely to send you visitors. All the best
You should have know about Big the sites like Youtube before starting a video website. I guess you knew you were up to the task to run head to head in a smaller scale with them. Keep on SEO ing and Google well send visitors to your site.
Try to add some unique text content in your website pages, then move on and start building backlinks then your website will start to rank for your targeted keywords
You have to rank better to get traffic thats the key. If you are on page 10 for a keyword, you would have very little chance to get any traffic. Keep building more links. quality ones. Plus you may wanna write some articles linking to your pages. That would help greatly.
You'll have to wait a lot longer then that. You mentioned the term "movie trailers" being hot in google, but your not optimizing your page for that term at all! Your somewhat 'optimized' for the term "Videos Online" With your title and your main 1 line of text up there at the top. Now look at the TOP 10 results for that term... your competing against google video, veoh, metacafe, yahoo videos.. When your trying to rank for a term, you need to focus (in my opinion) on the TOP 10 results for that specific term, and ask yourself... Can I get more backlinks and optimize better then at least the 10th result? If so, then gradually (over months, not weeks) you can reach that first page. When you talk about does google send you traffic... your talking about your ranking. You should read a book about SEO and learn the scoop. You can find them freely on the internet I'm sure. Read about onpage optimization, and offpage optimization.
Well, you better learn to love it. That cookie cutter site you started is going to be disappointing but don't let me discourage you.
