When we use google SE search backlink [ link:site-domain ] I know not all blacklinks will be listed most of time. But my question is : do these backlinks have more importance than those BLs which do not list by Google? Regards
Google is "late" when showing backlinks in question. You can use the Yahoo! Site Explorer to get accurate results.
I have used yahoo and it shows about 1100 backlinks whereas google shows 9. The google ones do seem to be the main ones with PR and relevance though so maybe that is what google chooses to show
Google doesn't not display all backlinks you have if you search "site:" If you are using "Google webmaster tool" you can see all backlinks you have. From what I see, Google displays important links/links with higher pagerank first
It may display valuable backlinks, but not the most valuable... it's very strange, but it's a google...
well, they are a chunk of your total links. They may consist of Quality as well as Non-quality If you run the query with space means link: site.com you get something entirely different The webmaster tool is the only source to get your total backlinks evaluated by google.
no I dont believe so at all, it seems they show a load of rubbish ones in public, when you have much better showing inside webmaster tools
In my opinion, I don't think it's showing the most valuable links but it's somehow random list of the links.. Maybe a kicker marketing technique instep to force people to use Google WebMasters Tools and verifiy their sites!
