If I owned a site called photoshoptuts.com and I bought domain names such as photoshoptutorials.com, photoshoptuts.net, adobephotoshoptuts.com, ect. Would this help the SEO for photoshoptuts.com or is this just a waste of money? I do not own photoshoptuts.com or any of the other sites.
Doesn't help unless you have inbound links from other sites (not yours) pointing to all of your sites, then funneling down to the main site. This is mainly for free directories, so you can have more total link juice.
Funny answers. I tested a SEO project before this for a family members site. Example: Real site - domainA.com Niche keyword: Make Money Online Supporting Domain: Make-Money-Online.com Using some simple techniques I managed to optimized DomainA.com so that it got an authority link from Make-Money-Online.com and it managed to score high (First Place in my case) in SE like Yahoo and Google. Yahoo is exceptionally more keyword friendly. So in other ways if you are a SEO expert then why not. Nothing is a waste of money. I dunno why the others say no though.
