Hi guys, I apologize if this topic has been brought up before, and if so you could just link me to that thread. I would just like to ask your opinion about do-follow and no-follow links. Do they really make a big difference in your link building campaign? Also, how do you know if a link is do-follow or no-follow? Thanks in advance for your responses. Regards, Fayanne King
Do-follow will give you backlinks and no follow doesn't... It help you to rise up your PR blog. Do it constanly (comment on 10-15 do-follow blog) and pray Google give nice PR for you ...
Yup Every new blog start with PR 0, over time and efforts your site will be rewarded PR by google depend on how much your site backlink in return with other PR websites.
These PR domains must be recently dropped right? I have heard somewhere that when Google updates its PR, it will also lose its high PR.
It lose when that domain is inactive for a long day, i mean no update from those website. You can search in this forum if you want to buy the new one. Ask them about their activities before buy it. Did they leave the website for no update, ask kindly. I hope it help...
Do or No = Backlinks is Backlinks, but : Dofollow backlinks with relevan keyword can boost site and easy get Google PR.
You can check the Page Source and look at the links to know if they are dofollow or not. But don't get too concerned about it. Links, whether dofollow or nofollow, are still links. They can always generate traffic to a site.
I agree that any link is a link but if you get your blog high enough in the search engine then you will generate a lot more traffic. So concentrate on do-follow more then no-follow.
Yeah that's correct. Here's a free report that Ryan Deiss put out a few months back. You can find it here: perpetualtrafficformula.com/blog/12/perpetual-traffic-report/ (I'm not an affiliate or anything). It has a sweet graph showing how many links from other sites it takes to increase your PR rankings. For example, to get your site to a PR 5 you'd need roughly 16,800 links from PR 1 sites OR ~3000 from PR 2 sites OR 555 from PR 3 sites and so on. The report will probably answer your questions about No Follow Vs Do Follow as well.
Dofollow links are the one that contribute to your search engine rankings. But getting 'only' dofollow links is definitely not recommended. If your site is getting links naturally it will get both types of links.
you can right click and click "view page source" (if using mozilla). highlight all (ctrl + a) and (ctrl + f) to find. type in nofollow. If you see nofollow highlighted after any websites likn, then it's a nofollow.
from the word itself do-follow gives you backlinks. it help you get traffic but might be a little while to do so
When I researched my backlinks I discovered that Google is only picking up my dofollows on relevant keyword/topic. So I only link with dofollow sites related to my niche no matter the PR.
