Don't just focus on dofollow SBs, use as much SB sites as you can these sites can provide great traffic, even i its a no follow links

i use social marker and it already has all the other pertinent bookmarks you need to push your article on top of the serp.
Give soLinkable a try - I use it and I love it. Here is a quick tip: Get involved in the community. Rather than just spamming your link, pick a few good Social Bookmarking/News sites and really get involved. Comment. Vote. Submit great articles outside of your own blog. Your results will generally represent the amount of effort you put in.
I'm not big on just throwing every link the world into SB sites....it's just spamming...the only time I submit is content that I truly think people will enjoy.
mixx and digg are two of my favorite besides from twitter and facebook. i get pretty good visits from these sites
