I was wondering if anyone had information about DO-FOLLOW forums? A list or info, anything. Thanks everyone, green for everyone.
You can find a small list here: http://www.swollenpickles.com/2007/07/17/list-of-forums-that-allow-dofollow-signature-links/
Ignore the nofollow/dofollow and simply look for quality forums with plenty of traffic. In the end, traffic is the driving force after all...
Are there any forums that have massive traffic and allow sig links? Other than DP of course, and a lot higher traffic.
You have to make sure that the forums show the sig links to non-registered users. For a while, sitepoint did not show the sig links to non-registered users, so search engines could not see them also.
How come one of the forums i am on, makes every sig link for every post, and counts it as a backlink. Whereas for DP, the backlinks are not counted for every individual sig link in individual posts?
For one thing, if the forums (nowadays) have a "DO FOLLOW" in the links submitted by a guest/non-member then it could be counted as a vote and can generate backlinks. Is that correct? If so, how can I make sure if I am posting in a certain forum (without being a member - but I want to promote my blog or website, so I post a link there), they do have the "DO FOLLOW" rule or not? Can I coerce a "DO FOLLOW" in the link that I submit to their forum / blog? (The only way I see that their code can be seen is through the "view source") Please advise me accordingly. Thanks!
The only way is to post a link and find out if they put a nofollow or not. Be care not to spam though..
I think you can get it in this forum itself, Here is the thread where someone had given a huge list. forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=719030
