Im using DO FOLLOW to post comments onto the blog that same in my niche, does anyone try this before?

Does google really value those backlinks?

The reason that I'm asking this is I don't really see my result yet after tried for 2 weeks. I wish to get input from you guys whether worth to continue? Please advise. Thanks

One of the StomperNet guys did some tests and found that some search engines ignore "NOFOLLOW". However, it seems like a good idea to use "FOLLOW" if you want to send some link juice.

Some smaller search engine still count no follow, no follow just means no link juice. However, google still count and index them as backlinks. Just won't help your page rank, that's all.

Google does not count dofollow link but Yahoo does. However, if you check your link via Google Webmaster Tools you will find that Google does follow all links that "nofollow". Google will not pass weight or PR juice but they do follow to see who is that site linking to. That's why the bad neighborhood is a must concern before put link to anyone. That's why linking to bad site could harm your site reputation even you put a nofollow already.

the weight will depend on the anchor text. Are you linking using a keyword, or just your name?

They do indeed work, the hard part is not making your comments look spammy, it's obvious if you use a keyword for your name in a comment but it does give more weight so it does depend on how generous the webmaster is.

I see it like this..... yea I care about my page rank but If I'm getting consistent traffic from the "nofollow" that is turning into sales then I'd continue to use them.
