Have had a quite day at work today so have been working on my seo with posting on blogs with PR. This tip has to be one of the best freebies about and deserves a bump.

 

It does NOT work and it does NOT deserve to be bumped. Let this thread die already.

 

Can you tell me how or why this does not work, people post on blogs for links so why not look for blogs in your niche with PR

 

Anyone who makes a blanket statement it does or does not work really doesn't know wtf they are talking about. Unless of course they are the lead developer for google search or higher in the company. I don't think this person is and I see no study or other proof it doesn't.

Backlinks work - so go for it.

Thanks I will,seeing as the other person has not come back yet to tell me why this does not work.

blog posting is just a small part of my overal SEO this also helps make it look natural and not formulated.

Maybe there are others out there that would like to comment.

 

The search query returns Nofollow blogs as well. It does not differentiate between them. That is what I meant by it NOT working for what you thought it was supposed to.

That so-called trick was misinterpreted from a blog post out there, and has been mis-interpreted and perpetuated over and over again. The original post made no mention that it was good for finding Dofollow blogs, but most people still thinks that it did.

And excuse me for taking over an hour to respond to your post, I will do better next time sir.

Read the OP, try the search, then come back and tell me that it finds only Dofollow blogs. Before you jump on somebody, make sure you know WTF you are talking about.

To find out if the blog is do follow you need to install a plugin that shows if the link is do follow or not. Using this with seo quake and voila blogs in your niche with PR. Yes it takes a bit of time but they are free links

 

I am aware that is how it is to be done. I use SearchStatus extension for Firefox and Mozilla, btw.

The point was, however, that the OP did not state that at all. It lead one to believe that you could find Dofollow blogs with his search terms, which is not true.

You would have just as good results finding your niche and socializing with the blog owners at some blog directory sites, such as MyBlogLog and BlogCatalog. They both have tagging and categorized listings of blogs and it makes them very easy to find.

 

And that's a good enough reason, friend.

“KEYWORD HERE” “powered by wordpress” “leave a comment” -”no comments”
