Hey, First, I was only commenting on the blogs which had a feature of auto approved comments. This removes the factor of akismet. All the comments are sticking so far. Well, it's not necessary because The toughest part is to get from the second page to the first page. It really requires intense link building and at the same time adding up at least 5 articles daily to give something to the readers. Getting to the first page combines a lot of factor. Update: I will be commenting on niche related blogs (health) to see the effect in the SERP. The blogs will have PR3++ blogs. As you guys know niche related blog commenting can really help with the SERP and traffic it worth a watch.
update: I am finished with niche blog commenting. I did some 15-20 comments. Will wait for the results now. If you have any suggestions or want to share your view points it would be helpful to me and as well as for the people. Also, I have made a list of around 300+ do-follow blogs to comment for my site now. Most of the blogs are from PR3-PR6. When I am through with them they will get me to the first page.(As far as I think) But we still have to wait and let the things go on smoothly.
well i joined you guys only now.. it is interesting.. Also someone please tell me what is bounce rate ?
Bounce Rate is people coming into your site and hitting the back button or the x instead of reading, clicking a link, or an ad. . . I think.
pro.seods: Thanks a lot for doing this for us. I am really interested in seeing how this goes with dofollows and the most interested in seeing you build up a site purely on nofollows in terms of serps... But when you are doing nofollows can you please only comment on nofollows and no additional things for the results to be very accurate, which means no dir submissions and other stuff since then the results would be inaccurate...
I have been performing seo work via link creation for years and you will definitely see results from blog commenting alone, but I recommend that instead of just commenting on dofollow blogs that you write a few articles and use the free traffic system to spin and distribute the articles to the blogs instead! It is free and simply to get started!
Even for this site I have purely worked on do-follow blog commenting. Yes, I was thinking of doing a site where I will comment on high PR no-follow pages only. Let me see when I am free and I will let you guys know that I am starting out with a new experiment. Well, the point is I am only seeing how do-follow blog commenting effects the site. I know varying my backlinks will easily give me a better SERP in quicker time. UPDATE: My site just hit 2nd page on YAHOO for one of my main keywords for which I was doing do-follow blog commenting.
In my case, always work, of course you will not get high than a pr3 or in the top page on google only with blog commenting
Thats what i was also wondering... I think they filter out blog comments specifically as it really takes much longer time to increase in rankings this way (can be even a month i think)... Maybe they can detect the blogging platform and comments or sth =\ Speaking of which... I wonder from which source can you see the most immediate results... Probably from forums or something???
Do-follow blog commenting is good, but this is only a very small part of SEO. If you do only blog commenting, you will see some short term results but then fall back again.
Pro Seods (or anyone else who knows), How did you go about compiling a list of do-follow blogs related to your niche? I am in the poker niche and I wouldn't know how to go about getting a list of do-follow blogs together.
It's all well and good to only build your links by commenting on blogs, but the hardest part is finding new blogs everyday to comment on. This is definitely a very laborious experiment - bearing in mind that most of those comments are moderated so there's no guarantee that your comments along with the links will be there the next day. That said, whatever the out come please do come back to let us know the result. Good luck.
1 thing I want to add about the DoFollow comments is, finding new links is very hard job, as you have to spend a lot of time to get a new do follow blog for you which has good PR and still it is free from spamming. As you know spammers are the worst, one day due to their activities Google and other Search Engines will come up with plan to face this kind of link building. Well you started a good project for you, but it requires a lot search and research from your side. Best of luck for the results.
I see allot of links in webmaster tools and Alexa are from blog comments I made. Many of these are very high ranking. I do not see what the debate is about, there is proof right in Google tools. I would like to add that the way I have got the best quality links and in the thousands is to pay for press releases through PRweb. do one every month, as much as you can afford.
I guess u want to be handed the job or what, stfu or have some input that adds value here. The title of the thread is a case study.
