I do not like windows vista at all. I do not like the way it looks and the way it operates. It is by far in my opinion the worst OS since Windows ME.

I hate vista and write now im kinda stuck with it.

it has problems running .bat files and most c compilers and linkers will not work bash files suck and every time i buy software that requires me to use a serial number does not work right on vista. i can go on and on but i think ill leave it at that.

I don't think it's terrible but I much prefer XP. In fact on my main PC I will skip Vista altogether - it would just be spending money for the sake of it and I thick a lot of people probably feel the same. Vista is far too bloated and can make your super-fast PC seem a generation old.

I would like to say that I like Vista more than any other previous version of Windows.
Except 1 or 2 glitches Vista is the coolest OS from Microsoft and with SP2 coming soon it will have lot more functionalities.

Other than the lag with opening and closing programs, I like vista for the most part.

Compared to XP Vista is great. Especially if you ever have to reinstall it. Time a Vistax64 install vs a winxp one and i think youll see a huge difference in installation time. I only run 64 bit because i require large amounts of memory and XP64 is a terrible heavily unsupported OS. Vista can be made to look and feel exactly like xp so whoever says they dont like it because of its differences hasnt played with it enough. as long as the first thing you do is disable uac its awesome os. Most people whining about they dont like it most likely are being too cheap to upgrade there unsupported old equipment for drivers. Although my main concern about buying any more accessories for my pc is with windows 7 on the horizon. are we gonna get quicl manufacturer response on drivers. One of my biggest complaints of vista was its restructuring of the audio. Creative Labs has taken a huge punch in the face about how slow they were to keep up with drivers that werent bugged with static and popping. Sad that one of the largest sound card manufacturers were too cheap to pay there employees to work on drivers I use to be a fan now after seeing there responses I will never buy creative products again. Manufacturers knew of the changes and should have been on top of drivers soon after release. Seem like scanners are issues too as they were from going to 98 to xp most had to buy new ones. I actually run xp on a seperate dual boot drive just so i can use a 30 dollar scanner when i need it because the minimum on a scanner for vista is 100 bucks. Video card manufacturers were on the ball with there updates for vista. Im curious to see what devices are gonna be the issues on a switch to windows 7. People who think vista is like me was to xp are smoking something vista is far superior to xp as long as all your devices are supported with good drivers.A Format to vistax64 install on my machine is 15 minutes so I love it as we all know xp nomatter what you did would slow down the longer it was installed even if you didnt install anything new requiring it to be reinstalled every so often

vista is terrible so buggy and slow. I ran it on my spare computer that had a 2.0 ghz processor and 2 gb of ram and it slowed it down terribly.
Apple is slowly taking over microsoft

My new laptop came with Vista ... needless to say - I had it for about 30 minutes before reformatting and installing Windows XP.

Even though the laptop came with Vista (Basic of all things) pre-installed - it had driver compatibility issues. And everytime I tried to install something, I kept getting these uber-annoying popups - ALL THE TIME. I'll stick with XP until Windows 7 comes out - with any luck MS will have their house in order by then.

I can see how you are very much disappointed with windows vista but that is technology, you either go with it or you are left behind. Just adapt by it.
