You can turn that feature off where prompts you for approval. Just to go the control panel and open the local users (I think it's called that) and at the bottom of the main screen it it an option for turning off user management or something to that.
Vista is not good. My brother bought his new laptop and it was built in with Vista. It was running smoothly for a while but then it gets worst by the day. I like XP more.
Runs perfectly on my Toshiba T9400/4GB laptop. no idea why you would go back to XP.. although i would like to try Mac os
I mean its nor really that different in comparison with windows xp, and i think thats where the core of the problem, other than alot of graphical bells and whistles, there isnt much different to previous microsoft OSes. WinFS was scrapped in order to get the OS out on time, and i dont think that was such a smart idea.
Vista makes me cry! It used most of my new pc resource. I'm not satisfied at all with it's performance. Now I've switched to XP.
IMO Vista is ok, but I do think that there are a lot of things they have changed just for the sake of it. Guess they are just trying to make money. Vista currently runs badly on reasonable XP machines, but give it a couple of years and it will be fine. Lets face it, do we have a choice?
Well, I am just and average user and does not do much except surf and write documents and make presentations. I have tried xp and have upgraded to vista. I like it better than XP. But of course, I am sure that some other guys who does more complicated work than I do would prefer xp since Vista does slows down the system if your ram is not that high.
Anyone using XP doesn't really deserve my time XP is SO boring, its just utterly bland. I have a general desktop, 1gb ram, single core celeron processor, running Vista home basic, PERFECT. I have a gaming desktop, 3gb RAM, Intel Core i7 Processor (cost £600 ALONE), Vista Ultimate x32bit SP1, runs PERFECT. I have a laptop, 2gb RAM, Core2Quad, ATi Radeon Mobile Xpress, Vista Home Premium, PERFECT. My old laptop, which still works, and uses XP (512mb ram, intel processor), its 10 years old, I installed Vista Home Basic on it today and it runs like a dream, when it used XP I had errors every day. XP is in the dark ages now, no support at all for it. All the latest equipment recommends Vista, And personally if you don't have vista, then go buy a disc, it's worth the money it costs!
In this years, vista is already goes common in any of t he computing industry. No brand that will put "XXX recommended Microsoft Windows Xp" that's a bad joke.. I think some of you poeple that who doesn't really love the vista, the main problem was because you are still using the old machine to operate the vista that actually required a new generation machine. Am i right? Buy a new rig, hook up with middle end component, then feel the vista. If possible, hook it up with the 64bit edition, and keep your vista, up to date with the latest Sp1, then you will know, whether it's XP better, or the vista better. Just my opinion about it...
Ah...Vista is ok but it does crash quite a bit. I've been a windows fan/user for several years and this crashing has been a first.
Try to make your vista up-to-date, because there is a lots of hotfix and upgrade need to be done, the fresh new vista having a lots of common error and problem that need to be done.
Seems like the majority of the world prefers XP http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_os.asp I guess this is why Windows 7 is already on horizon
I as well thought vista would be really cool and didn't go with xp when I was getting my new computer and now I'm regretting it.
I'd never use Vista for business, development or just personal use. I use Gentoo with an XFCE desktop. I'll soon check out KDE4.2, it totally PWNS anything Microsoft will come up with for the next 10 years.
